Successful Moment in My Life
I had a relationship couple of years ago it was something unexpected, because I’m not a relationship guy; but I also came to realize that small things we discover could change many big things in our life. Once, when I was hanging out with my friends I met a young lady named Hana. We were in a coffee shop downtown Portland, OR. My first reaction towards her was something unusual. I walked her way and asked If I could have her phone number or face-book page, I was so shy and scared of getting rejected in front of my friends. What I was trying to do might have been wrong, but no one advised me to be careful. However, I did take her number successfully. I did it like a boss!
Being single has its own advantages and disadvantages; some people prefer to stay single after a certain experience they had and others don’t. I was not interested in having a girlfriend that thought didn’t even cross my mind all this time. However, being in a relationship was harder than I assumed, especially when I had no previous experience on how that would feel. I came to realize that responsibility and emotions are important when it came to a meaningful relationship. Prior to Hana coming to my life all I ever cared about was my personal maintenance and satisfaction, no emotion feelings when it comes to the opposite sex. The girls where my friends and I respected them for it but never saw them in the relationship aspect. Therefore, being in a relationship had a significant impact on me.
It wasn’t hard to change my previous thoughts about relationships, when I had beautiful girl besides me that always showed how important I am in her life. Seeing her care about me the way she did opened up a side of me that I never knew. I wanted to take care of her with the same tenderness she did, and give her all that she needed.
