Section 1
7- to 9-page paper that includes the following:
The levels of measurement that will be important for your study and why.
How you will ensure content validity, empirical validity, and construct validity for your study. If any of these types of validity do not apply to your plan, provide a rationale.
How you will ensure reliability for the measurement in your study.
The strengths and limitations of the measurement instrument you have selected in terms of reliability and validity.
Which scale is appropriate for you to use for your plan and why.
A justification of how you know your scale is reliable and valid. If you can’t find reliability and validity for your scale, describe how you would demonstrate that the scale is reliable and valid.
What test is appropriate for your plan and whether it is norm or criterion referenced.
What population is used for the scale and test.
At least 10 references to the literature to support your choices and rationales
Section 2
Craft a 3-to 5-page paper in which you recommend the sampling strategy and sample size for your quantitative research plan. Include a rationale for why that is the best strategy and size for your plan. Refer to the literature as needed. Use the following as a framework for your paper:
Population
Size, if known, or approximate/estimated size
Sampling
Type of sampling
How the sample will be drawn
Sample size and why this was chosen in relation to population size
Section 3
State the statistical assumptions of this test.
Using the data set and variables you have selected, use SPSS to calculate the following:
oMean
oMedian
oMode
oRange
oMinimum
oMaximum
oStandard deviation
Generate syntax and output files in SPSS. You will need to copy and paste these into your Application document.
Use one kind of chart (any kind) to describe the data
Based on your SPSS analysis, craft up to a one page double-spaced write up of the statistical results (include any additional pages needed for any APA tables or graphs and the SPSS syntax and output). Your report should include:
oSPSS syntax and output files
o1 chart
·Section 4
Craft up to a one page double- spaced write up of the statistical results (include any additional pages needed for any APA tables or graphs and the SPSS syntax and output) in which you do the following:
oState the statistical assumptions for this test.
oUsing the data set you have selected, select independent and dependent variables.
oDevelop the null and the alternative hypothesis.
oUse the SPSS to calculate an independent-samples t test.
oReport on the p value and the confidence interval.
oInterpret the confidence interval.
oDecide whether to reject or retain the null hypothesis.
oGenerate syntax and output files in SPSS. You will need to copy and paste these into your Application document.
oBased on your SPSS analysis, report the results using correct APA format. Your report should include the following:
o
§SPSS syntax and output files
·Section 5
Craft up to a one page double-spaced write up of the statistical results (include any additional pages needed for any APA tables or graphs and the SPSS syntax and output) in which you do the following:
oState the statistical assumptions of this test.
oSelect an independent variable with three or more levels and a dependent variable.
oDevelop the null hypothesis and the alternative hypothesis for main effects.
oUsing SPSS, calculate an ANOVA. Include a post hoc test.
oReport on the p value and the confidence interval.
oInterpret the confidence interval.
oDecide whether to reject or retain the null hypothesis based on main effects and/or post-hoc statistical tests.
oGenerate syntax and output files in SPSS. You will need to copy and paste these into your Application document.
oBased on your SPSS analysis, report the results using correct APA format. Include results for post hoc tests where appropriate. Your report should include the following:
o
§SPSS syntax and output files
§ANOVA table
Section 6
Craft up to a one page double-spaced write up of the statistical results (include any additional pages needed for any APA tables or graphs and the SPSS syntax and output) in which you do the following:
oState the statistical assumptions for this test.
oUsing the data set you have selected, choose two continuous or metric variables for which you would like to test a relationship.
oDevelop the null hypothesis and the alternative hypothesis.
oUse SPSS to calculate a correlation coefficient and a simple linear regression. You can decide which should be the independent (predictor) variable and which should be the dependent (criterion) variable.
oDecide whether to reject or retain the null hypothesis.
oGenerate a scatterplot to visually assess the relationship between two variables.
oGenerate syntax and output files in SPSS. You will need to copy and paste these into your Application document.
oBased on your SPSS analysis, report the results using correct APA format. Your report should include the following:
o
§SPSS syntax and output files
