Your paper will have you examine how effective or not effective a company is with an analysis of how you think they achieved that status.
Select general motors company to examine.
Look at the mission, vision, values for that company and briefly comment on that statement.
Examine their on-line public relations materials for what THEY SEND OUT FOR CONSUMPTION.
Examine what other groups such as news media, competition, advocacy groups or government have to say about the organization you selected.
Discuss what the overall impression of the company is and have they been effective or not in reaching positive public awareness.
You may select several elements to discuss or, if expansive enough, one item to comment upon.
Your paper will consist of:
Organization selected
Introduction to the paper
Mission, vision, values statement.
Summary of their internal public relations efforts and the direction of their efforts.
Information from outside sources that expand upon the organization’s efforts. Positive or negative elements are to be sought.
Your analysis, using information from the text and classroom, about what you learned and if you agree or disagree.
Be sure to include your analysis of the organization – use course material to place the information in perspective.
