Q1
I’m sure most businesses have good policies and procedures. But what would you do if the supervisor was the problem that you were complaining about?
Q2
Discrimination in workplace. Why do you think people hesitate to file a claim?
Q3
There are times that employees who have been victims of discrimination are asked to proceed with an alternative dispute resolution. This method open the door to communication between all parties involved in a safe and nonthreatening manner. If that does not work then an employee can file a complaint with the EEOC or another entity. The Department of Labor employment poster is a common area that gives an overview of employee rights and lists agency contact information. Some large cities and states allow the employee to file a discrimination case locally with typically more broad definitions of discrimination.
If a person is terminated and goes through an administrative process first, what is the status of the person during that time and how long do you think the process might take?
