Elevator Speech
There are twenty (20) questions in the “Q&A” section of the attached document: government repor. Take a look at them. Is there one (1) that you have heard expressed? Aloud, orally? Or in an online comment, perhaps? Focus on that one. Re-read that specific Q&A. Then, do some independent reading from credible, reputable sources. Do you best to determine if the “Answer” is supported by the Canon of accepted science. If so, what additional evidence, beyond what is in the report we read, can you bring? If not, what scientific evidence, from reliable sources, can you muster to counter the claim in the report?
Compose a short (~200 word) “elevator speech” such as you might give to a stranger in an elevator during a short (~1 minute) elevator ride. Imagine that your fellow passenger expressed an opinion on a specific aspect of climate change, as addressed in one of the20 questions in the report, and you had about a minute to agree, or disagree, with specific facts in an educated manner. By the time the elevator doors open, your fellow passenger should be convinced that you are an educated, knowledgeable person about the specific aspect of climate change that he or she questioned.
