Summary of Deliverables for the Group Report
Task: The group report forms 40% of your assessment. The purpose of the report is to both summarise and explain your design requirements and features with reference to the various analyses you have carried out during the module (research, analysis, storyboarding and evaluation). The report should include four main sections: summary of contribution; research and analysis; design document; evaluation plan and results; and finally an appendix of any additional materials you have created. A summary of each of these sections together with key questions they should address and links to specific elements of your analysis and lab work which may assist you is provided below.
1. Summary of contribution (approx 3 pages)
A summary of individual contributions to the group task from each group member detailing their roles, responsibilities and deliverables (see Lab 10) together with a copy of your (completed) Student Action Plan (see Lab 3).
2. Research and analysis (approx 3-5 pages)
A brief summary of your group task followed by the results of your task research including your review of design guidelines (see Lab 2), parallel product review (see Lab 4) and a copy of your Design Matrix which should summarise the relationships between your analyses, design requirements and design features (see Lab 6).
3. Design document (approx 8-10 pages)
A detailed summary of your and design features and how these have been derived from your analyses (see Lab 7) together with a copy of your storyboard to help communicate the visual features of your design (see Lab 8). The following breakdown key elements of a design document may help you to organise your information:
> Game title and overview:
What is objective, theme and structure of your game and WHY?
Think of a creative title! This is simply a brief summary of your game (similar to an abstract for a research report).
> Core objective:
What is the function of your game,…
