Chocolateria San churro was first established in 2006, after founder Kelly Smith and Giro Maurici romantic trip through Spain. Kelly and Giro were struck by a sense of opportunity whilst sitting amongst locals in bustling chocolateria in the middle of Madrid. They believed that though there were chocolate cafes in Australia, there really wasn’t anything like the Chocolateria. Since the first store opening in Melbourne, there are now 19-franchise stores nation wide. San Churro has recently expanded internationally with opening 12 stores in India during 2012. San Churro has already expanded internationally to India, but the business still has the potential to expand to more countries.
The potential country that San Churro can expand to is Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi is the capital and the second largest city of the United Arab Emirates in terms of its population and the largest of the seven member emirates of the United Arab Emirates.
