LP9.2 Assignment: Using Aptitude
Directions
Perform the following steps to demonstrate installation of a particular application software package, facilitated by the two primary front-ends of the Advanced Package Tool (APT) and the Debian Package Management System Thereby.
Open Synaptic Package Manager and search for the filezilla software package.
Take a screenshot of the resulting display, indicating that the filezilla package is not installed, save as file nofilezilla.png and insert as the first slide in a PowerPoint presentation document, in the usual manner. Close the Synaptic Package Manager.
Utilize the script command to record this shell session and capture the commands required to complete the assignment, as follows:
script assignment9.2.log
From the command prompt, type the command required search for the filezilla software package in the list of locally available software packages. Type the commands required to find and install filezilla from the available/enabled software repositories.
After the filezilla software package has been installed, type the command required to search for filezilla in the list of locally available software packages, which should now be found.

Open Synaptic Package Manager and again search for the filezilla software package.
Take a screenshot of the resulting display, indicating that the filezilla package is now installed, save as file yesfilezilla.png and insert as the second slide in your open PowerPoint presentation document. Close the Synaptic Package Manager.
Finally, open Filezilla from the Internet menu under “Applications,” take a screenshot of the opening screen, save as file filezilla.png and insert as the third slide in your open PowerPoint presentation document, then save and close the document.
