Myths, Mythological Thinking &
Perspectives
To be specific pick a heroes. (Any
contemporary hero will do, pick a public figure.)
1) Identify this hero’s
characteristics. This discussion should not be limited to his or her personal
character, but should include some discussion of how he or she influences the
larger context: family, community, workplace, and society.
2) Explain how and why you emulate
this person, and in what areas of your life.
3) Draw parallels between this
individual and one or more mythological figures, and
4) Hypothesize how this individual
might be mythologized by future generations.
