Write 25 pages of a project related to the topics given above, and then present their slides in the classroom in 15-20 minutes. It will be double space in Times New Roman or Arial with at least 20 references. Project submission (both 25 pages report and 25 page PowerPoint slides) due is April 19, 2014. The presentations will be held after this date in the order of topics.
Evaluation Criteria for Presentation:
1- Organization and presentation of material (10%):
- Introduction, body, and conclusions well organized
- Material presented in logical order
- Proper emphasis on important materials
2-Technical content and progress on project (50%):
- Give examples about the subjects
- Social impact/damage to the society (cost, environment, etc.) – at least one slide on this respect
- How it was developed
- Using basic concepts to explain the phenomenon
- Prevention techniques – list two feasible techniques
3- Communication & speaking ability of presenter (10%):
- Vigorous, well paced, and practiced presentation
- Good eye contact with entire audience
- No distracting mannerisms
- Does not read presentation or talk to the screen
4- Professionalism of presentation (15%)
- Control of time
- Slides used for effective communication (use proper figures)
- Not too crowded or too sparse
- Appropriate size or lettering for easy viewing
5- Ability to answer questions about the project (15%):
- Convincing answers to audience questions
