System foca
1-Using the positive and negative lenses, set up as many different 2 lens imaging systems as you can and identify and calculate the following parameters and estimate your uncertainties:
System focal length
Entrance & Exit Pupils locations and diameters
Object and Image heights and locations
Draw a diagram of each system labeling each of the above.
Case one (plane convex – plane convex)
Focal length of First lens = +80mm
Focal length of Second Lens = +60mm
Distance between the two lens = 100mm
Lens1 dim=20mm
Lens 2 dim=20mm
Case two (bioconcave+plane convex)
Focal length of First lens = -50mm
Focal length of Second Lens = +60mm
Distance between the two lens = 76.2mm
Lens1 dim=20mm
Lens 2 dim=20mm
CASE 3(BCc+BCx)
Focal length of First lens = -20mm
Focal length of Second Lens = +50mm
Distance between the two lens = 76.2mm
Lens1 dim=20mm
Lens 2 dim=20mm
The object position u can change it u can leave the object in the first case laid on the first lenses but in the other two cases u can change it ,BUT THE DIGRAM FOR ALL CASES I MUST ME CLEAR BECAUSE AM GONNA SET UP THE LAB AND TAKE PICTUERS AND SEND IT TO MY TEACHER
The pictures is to show u how I do the setup
