JUDITH:

Planning is a a manager’s skill that decides who, when and how a certain job will be done. (Rao & Pande, 2010).

My daughter works for the federal government. Back in 2013 there was a government wide furlough due to the government shutting down, where an email went out to all employees, telling them, when the furlough was going to happen. My daughter’s and all of the other employees that worked for the government, wages were effected in a bad way. However, the managers where my daughter works pulled together and put together an action plan, so if another government shut down were to happen, their pay would not be effected. So, this year in 2019  when our current President decided to shut down the government, all of the employees where my daughter works, their wages were not effected, due to the brilliant successful planning of all the managers. The managers were able to do this, by pulling financial budgetary resources together, which improved this situation and when it happened again everyone was able to go to work everyday, not having to worry about loss wages.
