Write a short essay in APA style about the effects of cell phone use on driver attention. Write in complete sentences! The paper needs to be 2-3 pages long, typed in 12 point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, with one-inch margins on each side, and in MS-Word document format. It must also include an APA style title page.
Discussion about the variables involved in cell phone usage during driving require some thought. I suggest that you read the sections from your text that pertain to attention, especially the studies that describe cell phone usage while driving. Then, synthesize the relevant material to produce a pertinent and focused essay. Your discussion does not need to be overly long. However, it must be complete and written in college-level English.
The purpose of this exercise is to demonstrate knowledge of Cognitive Psychology! An “A” paper will include a description and critique of the research presented in your textbook. For example, is the research correlational or experimental? Which type of research contributes the most to comprehension of the cognitive psychology of attention and cell phone usage? Why? Elaborate!
