How do I write this?
The paper is to be a minimum of three (not 2.75), double-spaced pages; use general college standards for formatting, language, punctuation, and spelling.
Start with your annotated bib. If you just Un-annotate it you may include it as your bib. You may add additional sources if you have found any that will be helpful.
Use the information from your various sources to construct the paper.
Use art terminology appropriately, and observe general college standards for organization, language usage, and spelling.
You must use books and journals as well as the Internet.
You will include a Bibliography Page, (see above) which will list all your sources including the names and URLs of Internet sources for data or Images.
You will give a source in text or in endnote form for EVERY fact you include. Every one, EVERY TIME! AMEN. (see MLA Style Assignment #1)
Whatever you may use in the way of sources, remember you must paraphrase all information or quote it directly with proper quotations. Either method must have an appropriate endnote. If you simply include it as your own words it is PLAGERISM. (If you do not understand this, get to an English tutor)

What do I write about?
This is still not a book report on the life of the artist, but you do have a little latitude to discuss personal history if it is relevant to understanding the artist’s WORK and STYLE.
Identify the artist or Period
Why did you choose him/her/it?
If an Artist, what period or movement is the artist working in? What were its major artistic concerns? What characteristics of that style are evident in his/her works? Did the style evolve?
If a period, what historic/cultural events contribute to the development of the Art?
What characteristics of the work are personally/historically unique? Describe uses of form and iconography that make the art identifiable.
Are there things about the artist’s personality, training, or associations that might account for those unique traits?
Then identify and describe the style using specific examples of the work to illustrate.
What have historians and/or critics have said this artist’s work?
You may also include any or all of the following:
Discuss Art Historical influences on the artist.
Discuss political/historical influences on the artist
Identify and define the progressive stages of the style or period, if any.
Discuss the kinds of knowledge and/or skill required to make the work. (i.e. technique/s, philosophy, literature, history, etc)
Discuss the influence that other artists, especially his/her teachers or mentors, had on the style.
Discuss major life events that may have shaped the work.
Discuss gender or ethnicity issues that may have shaped the work.
