Spring 2014
The purpose of this blog project is to help students become familiar with the application of operations and supply management principles learned in the course to specific organizational situations. Students will gain practical knowledge of operations and supply management issues facing real organizations. This blog project is meant to put into practice some of the topics studied in this course.
Students are not required to create an actual blog spot online but to write up their blog post in MS Word. This is an individual project so each student will email me their blog post on or before the dates outlined below. Students must chose a topic that is some way connected with operations and supply management i.e. it must be about a topic that we have discussed in class.
Blog Detail:
· Title of blog post
· By…..Student Name and Student ID
· Pictures/Illustrations
· Actual blog post
· Labels for Definitions included in your blog post
Breakdown of Evaluation and Deadline Date:
Both a hard and soft (email) copy are required to be handed up on or before the deadline dates
1st blog post – 7.5% — Due Monday 12th May
2nd blog post – 7.5% — Due Monday 9th June
Ideas/Suggestions:
· Need to write about blog topic that’s related to supply management and operations.
· Look up supply chain management and operations blog posts online to get some ideas but no copying as I will be checking all blogs for plagiarism.
· Read the business section of online papers etc.
