Choose any of the sections I-VI to read and write a book report.  The following are the potential extra credit values:
Part I:  +2 points on your final grade
Part II: +1 point on your final grade
Part III: +1 point on your final grade
Part IV: +1 point on your final grade
Part V: +1 point on your final grade
Part VI: +1 point on your final grade
Discuss the following for all the Parts you reported on as a whole:
1.  Introduction – State the Parts of the book you chose and the reasons why?
Discuss the following for each Part separately:
2.  Scope – Summarize the highlights of the subject matter which the Part covers.
3.  Discussion – A discussion concerning particular issues or themes covered by the Part which you found most interesting or most significant. Perhaps, a certain portion expressed ideas or described events which were especially provocative, or provided you with a new understanding, or raised questions which aroused your curiosity. Discuss these matters and your reaction to them. This is an opportunity to thoughtfully consider a historical subject, and to deal with the facts in a logical way which shows that you have read and understood the book. What is the timely nature of the material? Is the information presented no longer relevant or will it stand the tests of time and why?  This discussion must be concerned with a subject raised by the author. It should not become a launching point for expressing un-related or un-substantiated opinions. Nor should the discussion be concerned with the style of writing of the author. Rather, it should be concerned with historical or factual content. Provide an original and thoughtful response.

4.  Conclusion – A concluding section should draw together all the loose ends concerning the most important facts and understanding, which you have gotten from doing the report. Tell me…
