• You are to prepare a 5-page report on a philosopher/thinker of your choice and show clearly how his/her body of thought applies to, and informs, ethical practices and conduct in accounting and business in general.
• The paper is to be well-referenced and in APA format.
It is due by Day 7 of Unit 2 and is to be submitted via the course Dropbox.

The required assignment in Unit 2 should contain 5 pages of content. It’s 5 pages plus the title page and reference page for a total of 7 pages.
When writing I ask myself these questions:
1) Define what I’m writing about. What is the primary topic?
2) What are related questions/topics?
3) What additional information might be important?
I always make an outline first. For this week’s paper I would have the following:
Introduction
1) In this paper I am going to discuss ……
2) A brief history about him/her (2 paragraphs)
3) A discussion about the philosopher’s philosophy. Why is it important? How does it potentially connect to accounting or business (2 paragraphs).
4) Thesis paragraph. This paper will discuss how Philosopher’s perspective of blah is applicable to ethical practices in business/accounting.
Note: The first part of the introduction and the last part of the introduction are similar. It reminds the reader about the purpose of the paper. It’s stated slightly differently, but the reader needs to know what the paper is going to discuss.
His/her philosophy
1) provide greater details about his/her philosophy (3 or 4 paragraphs)
2) discuss the importance of ethics in accounting (3 or 4 paragraphs)
3) tie together the philosophy and accounting ethics (3 paragraphs)
Conclusion
1) Start with a discussion of what was discussed. In this paper the philosophy of PERSON and its relationship with accounting ethics was examined. Accounting ethics is blah. His/her philosophy is blah. These tie together blah, blah.
